Liberty Township History

Liberty Township is one of the original five townships of southwest Ohio's Butler County, dating back to 1810. The town's boundaries originally included the area of the current West Chester Township, which was separated from Liberty Township in 1823. The town is home to the Hughes Schoolhouse, which is a restored, one-room school house from 1887 that is still decorated in authentic furnishings.
